1. What is an aligner?
An aligner is a custom made clear plastic tray that fits over your teeth and corrects their malpositioning.
2. How does it work?
Each aligner moves teeth a little bit by exerting pressure on them.
3. Can one aligner straighten my teeth?
No but a series of aligners can. Each new aligner moves your teeth a little bit further and you will/can eventually have straight teeth.
4. How many aligners are required to straighten my teeth?
It depends on the severity of the problem. Your dentist can tell you approximate number of aligners.
5. Is there any age limit for aligner treatment?
It’s an adult orthodontic treatment hence there is no upper age limit, the minimum age limit is 14 years, but you need to ask your dentist for suitability.
6. Is aligner removable?
Yes aligner is a removable appliance and you can eat, brush and floss your teeth and enjoy your normal life.
7. Is aligner invisible?
Yes aligners are nearly invisible and no body can notice aligners when you are wearing them.
